Emily is originally from Philadelphia, PA and moved to Birmingham in 2014. Her first introduction to Pilates was while attending Boyer College at Temple University. Emily Graduated from Temple with a B.F.A. in Modern Dance and Choreography. After graduating college Emily moved around many places including New Orleans and Oklahoma. Moving to Birmingham she found Pilates again and realized how much help it could do for not just her body but so many people that had never heard of it. She decided that she had to become a teacher and share her passion for Pilates. Emily spent a year and two months completing the Intermediate Plus Teacher Training Program at the Pilates Center based in Boulder Colorado with 600 hours of Instruction as well as being an Apprentice at Core Strong she earned her certificate on April 7th, 2016. Emily has now completed the Bridge Plus Program with 950 hours total being Advanced trained getting her second certificate on August 2nd 2018. She also is the Host Advisor in Birmingham for the ITPC teacher training program out of Boulder, CO.
