Treat Yourself to a Pilates Massage with Amy
Inspire and Energize Your Equipment Work
We at The Pilates Center were talking about what Pilates teachers and clients want and need most at this challenging time. Knowing that most of you are doing a lot of teaching online, we knew that doing and teaching inspired and energized lessons is key.
Sooo, we came up with a series of 2-hour workshops focusing on just that! Each workshop will present ideas to help you be creative and keep yourself and your clients inspired and progressing, healthy and happy. Each workshop will let you practice and feel the results for yourself. At this difficult time in the world, this is still the path to health and world peace.

Treat Yourself to a Pilates Massage with Amy Taylor Alpers
February 7th 9 – 11am MST
During our Fall Mat Series Workshops, I discussed the many ways a teacher can re-inspire themselves by thinking outside of technique. Continuing with this theme, this workshop will look at the many ways movement can be used to enable a change of texture to our tissues that more readily returns the body to health.
Pilates should feel like a deep and powerful massage for all of your body’s tissues and systems. It should heat up and ultimately change the texture of all of you so you become softer, warmer, more flexible, and especially, robustly absorbent. Enabling the body’s absorption of fresh nutrients, as well as the flushing of toxins and metabolic waste – i.e. the internal shower – is the true intention of the Pilates method. How do we see through the choreography, levels, difficulty, and rules to actually achieve this end result? In this 2 hour workshop we’ll look at how we cue various exercises on the Pilates Low Chair and see if we can focus our words and intention on the ultimate healing potential of each Pilates movement.
Each will workshop will be from 9:00 – 11:00 a.m. MST. The cost for individual workshops is $80. If you buy all 5 then the cost will be $375.
