Hone your Pilates Teacher Eye
As teachers we know the Pilates Method. We know what we want for our clients, but how do we know that our clients are getting what we are asking for? In this workshop we will use the Pilates choreography as the framework so we can learn to see the proper timing of muscles/joints in the body. Through this lens we will be able to distinguish if our clients are reaping the full benefits of the Pilates Method…better breathing, increased circulation, decompression of the joints and uniform development.
Stay Connected to the Springs
The Pilates Method builds strength and uniform development in our bodies. The Pilates springs add support and resistance to the choreography to aid in achieving this goal. In this workshop we will dive deeper into understanding how to better use the springs. For whom should the springs be lighter or heavier? When are people benefiting from the springs and when are they “riding” the springs? Come prepared to move and explore in workshop.
