Renée combines her vision as a bodyworker and a teacher of Pilates and Yoga to help her students advance towards optimal health and well-being. Renée is a Certified Massage Therapist, Certified Pilates Instructor, Certified Yoga Instructor, and Movement Educator. With other thirty years of experience teaching in the health and fitness industry, she has worked with a variety of clients ranging from the elite athlete to those with both acute and chronic injuries.
Renee infuses each lesson with detailed alignment, attention on the breath and the use of imagery. She believes that the combination of these elements facilitates an awakening that leads to a deeper understanding of oneself and to the world around. Renée is a graduate of the Boulder College of Massage Therapy, The Pilates Center Teacher Training Program, Richard Freeman’s Yoga Teacher Training Program and she is a Franklin Method Educator. In addition Renée has studied with Amy Alpers, Rachel Segal, Cara Reeser, Debra Kowley, Amy Lange, Rael Isacowitz, Tias Little, Rodney Yee, Judith Lasater, Aadil Palkhivala, Shiva Rea, Wendy Bramlett amongst many others.
In 1999 Renée along with her husband, David Schwartz, co-founded BoulderBodyworks with the vision of creating a center that offers the very best in Pilates, manual therapy and therapeutic exercise.
