Marlene Amado is a Pilates teacher in Vancouver, BC, Canada, who has been teaching

movement for more than 14 years. Her earlier training as a swim coach and in dance inspired

her curiosity about becoming a Pilates teacher and recently continuing her education training in

the classical method. Her continued interest and emerging research in psychology and

neuroscience informs her approach to teaching and in client care. Marlene is associated with

the Physiotherapy Association of BC as a PA and she brings valuable rehab experience into all
