Biography

Born and raised in Atlanta, Khetanya’s passion for fitness began during her acting, dancing, and musical career. She became a fitness instructor in New York City, where she discovered the practice of Pilates. Her talent in performing arts eventually led her to Los Angeles, where she continued studio training and worked with several A–list celebrities.

In 2020, she founded Movement Strength Training — offering virtual personal training, as well as classes in Pilates Mat, Strength, and Cardio. She felt a responsibility to her clients to provide a fitness community in a newly virtual world. This platform allowed her to inspire healthy lifestyles during a time of widespread mental and physical struggle.

Her expertise was sought out by YogaGlo and POPSUGAR, which has further grown her repertoire of online fitness classes. She carries a desire to build accessible, online communities that challenge and inspire her clients.

In 2023, she established KKRU — a comprehensive online and in-person fitness brand with the goal of enhancing the boutique fitness industry in new ways. Khetanya’s ‘KRU’, stands for her motto — Keep Reaching Up — and promotes her goal of empowering personal growth for like-minded and forward-focused individuals. She currently offers online class subscriptions, virtual personal training, community-driven Pilates classes, and more.

Khetanya’s mission is to empower the mind and body toward a better lifestyle through movement, practice, and self–love.
