See What Our TPC Graduates are Doing Now: Part Two

Our mission at The Pilates Center is to heal the world by empowering people to transform their health through Pilates, and this is at the center of what we teach in our programs.

So it’s always rewarding when we hear from our TPC graduates about how they’re continuing on their Pilates journeys and carrying out this work in the world.

Today, we want to highlight two graduates and Host Advisors for TPC,  who are sharing their love for Pilates with their communities in Tennessee and Florida.

Meet Megan Ciccoline White:

Megan is a Host Advisor for TPC, helping to spread the joy that can be found in movement and helping people find ways to feel better in their bodies. After growing and advancing her own Pilates practice over the last twenty years, Megan felt that it was time to go out on her own and expand her Pilates experience four years ago, which is when she founded Movement Lab, her Pilates studio in Columbia, TN, just outside of Nashville. “This is rewarding work, and I enjoy teaching clients and serving as a Host Advisor for TPC, getting to work with Pilates trainees as they go through their training.” Learn more about Megan’s journey, her teaching experience, and find out more about her Pilates studio here.

Meet Susan Mayo:

Susan is a Host Advisor for TPC, helping to teach others about the classical method of Pilates as she continually expands her knowledge about the practice. Ever since leaving her corporate job, Susan has delved headfirst into the world of Pilates. “I loved how powerful and strong I felt with Pilates, and I liked the precision involved in the exercises and the challenge of learning better ways to move.” Even after opening up her own studio in St. Petersburg, FL, Susan kept learning and growing. “You can never stop learning, and I want to go deeper into the science behind movement.” She’s now completed a Master’s in Exercise Science and is working on completing a Master’s in Applied Kinesiology. And Susan’s not stopping there—one day she hopes to offer Pilates retreats for clients in Cognac, France in order to create a memorable experience combining the two things she loves most—Pilates and France. You can learn more about Susan and her work at Motion Management Pilates.

About The Pilates Center

The Pilates Center was founded in Boulder in 1990 by sisters Amy Taylor Alpers and Rachel Taylor Segel. The sisters trained under Romana Kryzanowska, Joseph Pilates’ protégé and inheritor of his NYC studio. Amy and Rachel have worked to foster the legacy and tradition of the original, classical method of Pilates while also incorporating a humanistic approach to meet every individual’s needs. For over 30 years, they have made it their mission to heal the world by empowering people to transform their health and Return to Life through Pilates.
