Sign Up for Our New Mat Pilates Educational Program

We are always working to expand our knowledge and increase our understanding of Pilates at The Pilates Center, and we couldn’t be more excited to tell you about our brand new Mat Pilates Educational Program that will be taking place on March 3, 2023. This program will allow us to continue to support you as you embark on or continue on your Pilates journey.

This new education program was born out of the idea that more inclusivity is needed in the Pilates world. As The Pilates Center’s founders and co-owners, Amy Taylor Alpers and Rachel Taylor Segel, started to reevaluate the accessibility of the Pilates equipment they have used for more than thirty years, they came to the conclusion that a Mat Pilates Educational Program would benefit many Pilates teachers, students, and the general public as well.

“There are so many benefits to Pilates, and the last thing we want to do is bar anyone from enjoying our classes and experiencing these health benefits for themselves. We also want to take away the barriers that may exist for people who don’t have access to the equipment or can only access online classes from home rather than coming into a studio.”

The sisters have found that times have changed, and they are embracing those changes. While they have stayed true to the original, classical method of Pilates over the years, they also understand the value of incorporating a humanistic approach to meet every individual’s needs, and what individuals need now from Pilates is more accessibility.

“We are teaching peace with our methods, and if our new Mat Program opens up this amazing world of Pilates to others, we are all in.”

While the specialized equipment designed by Joseph Pilates is not going away anytime soon and will remain an integral part and core focus of The Pilates Center, the Taylor sisters know that this new Mat Pilates Educational Program will open up new doors and allow so many more people to experience the life-changing benefits of the Pilates method for themselves.

“Whether you utilize the more traditional machines or try our new Mat program, we think the benefits will amaze you. Come in and experience Pilates for yourself!”
