As we get ready to wrap up this year, we’re reflecting on all that we’ve accomplished and all that we have ahead of us in the coming year. And we are continually grateful for your support as The Pilates Center continues to grow, adapt, and evolve as a Pilates community.
Practice Pilates this Holiday Season
While we’re taking a break this holiday season; you can still practice Pilates with us! Our Pilates Center On-Demand Library is always available, and it’s where we offer a variety of online courses, classes, and workshops for purchase. Plus, it’s a wonderful way to enrich your Pilates practice from the comfort of your home or studio. The library also includes our teacher training program courses if you’re interested in learning more about teaching pilates.
Not only is our library available to you, but you can also visit our online store where you’ll find a number of DVDs for purchase, including Beginner/Intermediate Reformer Class, Intermediate/Advanced Reformer Class, Level III Mat and Reformer with Amy & Rachel, and other titles. We also have books and other exciting items for sale!
Don’t forget that you can also sign up to take live classes with us online—check out our online class schedule and stay updated about upcoming classes. We’ll be back in the new year on January 3, 2023, and ready to resume classes both in the studio and online!
Let’s Teach Peace and Return to Life
As we close out this year, we want to remind our community about the true meaning of Pilates and the reason why we practice and why we teach. For us, the classical method of Pilates promotes compassion and embodies a humanistic approach to meet every body, mind, and spirit. Pilates is about empowering people to transform their health and heal themselves so that, together, we can Return to Life, achieve peace, and heal the world.
About The Pilates Center
The Pilates Center was founded in Boulder in 1990 by sisters Amy Taylor Alpers and Rachel Taylor Segel. The sisters trained under Romana Kryzanowska, Joseph Pilates’ protégé and inheritor of his NYC studio. Amy and Rachel have worked to foster the legacy and tradition of the original, classical method of Pilates while also incorporating a humanistic approach to meet every individual’s needs. For over 30 years, they have made it their mission to heal the world by empowering people to transform their health and Return to Life through Pilates.
