Our 32nd Birthday Bash this month was a smashing success, and we couldn’t be more grateful for our supportive Pilates community both near and far.
We had 131 total Birthday Bash attendees—100 of which were clients and graduates and 31 of which were our very own Pilates Center teachers, partners, and volunteers.
Over three days, we gathered and celebrated our appreciation for Pilates with one another during a variety of classes, workshops, and panels. Sisters and founders, Amy Taylor Alpers and Rachel Taylor Segel, were able to mark the special occasion by reflecting on how far they’ve come since The Pilates Center’s inception in 1990.
For more than 30 years, The Pilates Center has been growing and evolving. Today, it is more than a studio; it is a worldwide community of Pilates teachers and students who are able to practice the original, classical Pilates method, which was founded by Joseph Pilates.
And that’s the spirit that was celebrated this month during the 32nd Birthday Bash at The Pilates Center’s Boulder location, several surrounding locations, and even on Zoom.
So here’s to another 32 years of healing the world and empowering people to transform their health and Return to Life through Pilates!
About The Pilates Center
The Pilates Center was founded in Boulder in 1990 by sisters Amy Taylor Alpers and Rachel Taylor Segel. The sisters trained under Romana Kryzanowska, Joseph Pilates’ protégé and inheritor of his NYC studio. Amy and Rachel have worked to foster the legacy and tradition of the original, classical method of Pilates while also incorporating a humanistic approach to meet every individual’s needs. For over 30 years, they have made it their mission to heal the world by empowering people to transform their health and Return to Life through Pilates.
